Saturday Clinics at Bases Loaded

 

Will "The Thrill" Boggs of Bases Loaded will be conducting clinics at 19 Patrick Lane, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. These clincs are $20 per player per hour, and will be held each Saturday until March 31, 20

4 - 6 pm: 6 - 8 yr olds; 6 - 8 pm: 9 - 12 yr olds.

CLASSES

Classes will consist of five to nine players. Classes are designed for specified positions on a baseball or softball field. Players will train on one or all of the six major fundamental skills. Players can enroll in Pitching, Hitting, Fielding, Catching, Throwing, and Running classes, and they are age specific. The age groups are 3 to 5 years old, 6 to 8 years old, 9 to 12 years old, and 13 to 15 years old . Classes will be held indoors or outdoors when weather permits. You can also create your own class; just let us know what your interests are.

Little Big League

We will teach players from the ages of 3 to 5 years old the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, catching, fielding, and running.

They will also enjoy the overall experience of playing an organized sport in a controlled environment.

Mental focus, coordinated movement, eye hand coordination, sport related vocabulary, conceptual thinking, patience, turn taking, making new friends, self expression, laughing, smiling, and having fun is a requirement in this class.

This is a multi-skill class.


Big League: Beginner

This class is for players who are new or display limited ability when playing Baseball or Softball.

We will teach players from the ages of 6 to 8 years old the fundamentals of pitching, throwing, hitting, catching, fielding, and running.

This is a multi-skill class.


Big League: Advanced

This class is for players who have the basic understanding of the fundamental knowledge, and skill, but are looking to enhance their overall performance.

We will teach players from the ages of 6 to 8 years old the strategies that will help them to become more effective at pitching, throwing, hitting, catching, fielding, and running.

This is a multi-skill class.


All Star: Beginner

This class is for players who are new or display limited ability when playing Baseball or Softball.

We will teach players from the ages of 9 to 12 years old the fundamentals of pitching, throwing, hitting, catching, fielding, and running.

This is a multi-skill class.


All Star: Advanced

This class is for players who have the basic understanding of the fundamental knowledge, and skill, but are looking to enhance their overall performance.

We will teach players from the ages of 9 to 12 years old the fundamentals and advanced skill technique for each of the 6 major skills that will give them a competitive edge.

They will understand how to make the necessary adjustments that will give them an advandtage over their competition whether they are pitching, throwing, hitting, catching, fielding, or running.

This is a multi-skill class.


Super Star

This class is for players who have the basic understanding of the fundamental knowledge, and skill, but are looking to enhance their overall performance.

We will teach players from the ages of 13 to 15 years old the fundamentals and advanced skill technique for only 1 of the 6 major skills that will give them a competitive edge.

They will understand how to make the necessary adjustments that will give them an advantage over their competition whether they are pitching, throwing, hitting, catching, fielding, or running.

This is an individual skill class.


Strength & Conditioning

Classes designed to develop overall strength by conditioning the body to withstand an increase in stress load, through the use of: aerobics, anaerobics, cardio, ply metric, resistance, and weight training.

John Boland is performing skill specific strength and resistance training for hitting on the Vertimax V8.

Strength and Conditioning has been incorporated into the training session for these players. Hitter's are using the Vertimax Training System. This type of training provides resistance in the lower body, while the upper body is forced to support and increase in weight which is attached to the barrel of the bat, via Hitting Jack 12oz.

Members from the Carmel Cubs 13U baseball team are receiving hitting instruction while attending an All Star Advanced Baseball Hitting Class.

Players in this class are learning advanced level fielding skills. They are performing the quick step diving motion.

Working on outfield drills is a very important part of skill development for catching. Xavier is developing his outfield skills by catching a ball over his glove side shoulder.

Before the activities begin for our Big League Beginner Class, Will "The Thrill" explains the rules and personal conduct required to set the tone for a productive practice.

Little Big Leaguers are preparing to throw and catch a baseball in a line drill. Similar to pre-game warm up for a game. Focus is on fundamental movement for throwing and catching.
